  37. Well, I don't know about 1917, but in the late seventies or early 
  38. eighties, the Pentagon finally released PLAN RED, the grand strategic plan 
  39. for war against Great Britain that had been drawn up in the 1920's. It 
  40. involved the invasion of Canada and the destruction of Britain's fleet. 
  41. Whether or not an actual invasion of Great Britain itself was contemplated 
  42. I cannot say. I'll go to one of the military history groups and see if I 
  43. can find out more.:)
